How do I edit WhatsApp templates for my connection type?

WhatsApp template editing depends on the connection you use. Salonist has a template editor, while provider-approved templates must also match the rules and configuration of your provider.

WhatsApp template editing depends on the connection you use. Salonist has a template editor, while provider-approved templates must also match the rules and configuration of your provider.

Steps

  1. Identify the active connection under Integration.

  2. Open Setup → WhatsApp Templates.

  3. Select the relevant client or admin message.

  4. Check the message text, selected keywords and their numbered order.

  5. For provider templates, confirm the approved template name and variables with that provider before saving.

  6. Test one message after saving the permitted changes.

How do I check the result?

Confirm the delivered message has the intended text and values; changing the editor does not by itself confirm provider approval.

If it does not work

If the delivered text is unchanged or rejected, check provider approval and mappings with Support rather than repeatedly editing the same template.

Illustrated guide

  1. Choose Clients SMS Templates or Admin SMS Templates according to the recipient.

  2. Select the required keywords for this specific message.

  3. Check the displayed mapping: selected keywords are sent as {{1}}, {{2}} and so on in this order. Match the provider template.

  4. Edit the message without breaking the required variables. API templates may require provider approval.

  5. Choose whether this message is enabled, then scroll down to Update.
